The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization supporting library services in the city of Campbell. Our efforts make possible better collections, a broader range of programs, and a more attractive library.
The group was initiated to support the library through fundraising and other volunteer services. Since its beginning, the Friends’ financial support of the library has been primarily through book sales.
Campbell Library is in temporary accommodation for the next 2 – 3 years while the original building is being renovated. The temporary “Campbell Express Library” is located at the Campbell Community Center in Building E46.
For many years Book Sales were held monthly. However this is not possible at the temporary location. We hold book sales on the patio outside the Express library several times a year as the current public health rules, and weather permit. To keep up to date on sales sign up for our Book sale announcements.
Funding
From its beginning the Friends have supported the Campbell Library by sponsoring programs open to the public, such as summer reading programs for children; buying books, DVDs, magazines and other library materials. The Friends have also purchased furniture, shelving and equipment which the library otherwise would not be able to buy.
The Friends are advocates for library services and a vital part of the library program.
