Friends of Campbell Library
The Friends of the Library raise money via book sales and perform volunteer service. Their efforts make possible better collections, a broader range of programs, and a more attractive library.
Funding for programs
Money raised by the Friends of the Library has supported the following Library programs:
- Honoraria for speakers
- Teen Poetry competion prizes
- Teen summer reading program
- Refreshments for the Writers' Faire
- Book bucks - prizes for participation in the Adult Summer Reading program
- Children’s summer and fall craft and reading programs
Funding for books and equipment
Money raised by the Friends of the Library has helped to purchase the following equipment for the library:
- wireless speakers for the projector
- extra bins for the new CD shelves
- Funding to repair the information carousel in front of the library
- bestseller collection for books, books on CD and DVDs
- Theater ropes for lines, pole with sign and sign adapter and a Media CD box to hold the Children’s CD collection,
- Theft proof DVD containers.
